PorterWorks and Sage Environmental Services Team Up on Trash
September 8, 2011 was the premier of a new documentary that was the product of a combined effort between PorterWorks and Sage Environmental Services. Sage Environmental Services, Inc. is a green facility maintenance company in the Seattle area that aims to reduce customer facility maintenance costs while helping businesses go green.This latest effort is a documentary that is aimed at helping businesses understand and achieve zero waste. Entitled "Unwasted: The Future of Business on Earth," the 54 minute film highlights the need, the challenges and the opportunities for reducing waste output, especially for businesses. It consists of interviews with government, business, and education experts and footage that brings the issues to light. Sage, the Executive Producer, intends for the film to be available at no cost and hopes to spread the word through social media, TV, radio, seminars and educational events that waste is a problem that does have a solution that is good for the planet and economically viable for business. Kyle Porter, eMedia Director for PorterWorks, directed, filmed and edited the project with the assistance of Anna Porter, Vice President of PorterWorks and Mattie Porter, Sustainability Coordinator & Communications Specialist for Sage.
